Q. Gmail is your Friend

A. Probably the most common email issue is accumulation of email
(typically from a trip or holiday); the account goes over quota and
email starts to get bounced. We devised a procedure to make Gmail work
for you:

Gmail allows you to receive and send email from their servers with a
different identity. What you need to do is to:
a) Set up that identity in Gmail and
b) Set Gmail to retrieve email from your hosting account with us.

NOTE Substitute: 'clientdomain.com' for your own domain
'username+clinetdomain.com' for the apropriate combo.
'username@clinetdomain.com' for the apropriate email address.
'password' for the right one.
If you don't yet have a FREE gmail account please email us and we'll gladly send you
an invitation.

Here is the nitty gritty:
1-. Log in with your browser into your gmail account.
2-. Open a second browser (or tab) and log in into your web-mail
e.g.
http://clientdomain.com/webmail/
User Id ......: username@clinetdomain.com
Password .....: password
Select SquirrelMail (easier)
3-. On your Gmail account Click on 'Settings' -> Accounts. Under Get mail from other accounts: (Download mail using POP3) click on 'Add another mail account'
4-. Enter the email address of the account to get mail from. e.g: username@clinetdomain.com
Username ..........: username+clinetdomain.com (e.g.)
Password ..........: password (e.g.)
POP Server ........: mail.clientdomain.com (e.g.)
5-. Suggestion .....: Check 'Label incoming messages'
and select 'New Label', enter 'clientdomain.com'
this will allow you to recognize the email coming from the hosting account with us
from the ones directly sent to your gmail account.
6-. Click 'Add Account'
7-. Next screen will have pre-selected: 'Yes, I want to be able to send mail as test@amphionweb.com.'
8-. Click on 'Next Step'
9-. Enter Your name or what you want for 'From:', Click 'Next'
10-. On the next screen click on the 'Send Verification' button
11-. Switch to the Webmail window and open the email received from Gmail, note the confirmation code.
NOTE: if you don't find it there look into your gmail inbox, it may already be there.
12-. Enter the confirmation code on the Gmail PopUp window and click on 'Verify'
13-. On the 'Accounts' screen you may want to set the new identity the default one.

Why use gmail?

- Search your mail instantly
Use Google search within Gmail to find the exact message you want, no
matter when it was sent or received. You don't have to spend time
sorting your email, just search for a message when you need it and
we'll find it for you.

- Organize replies into conversations
With Gmail, each message you send is grouped with all the responses
you receive. This conversation view continues to grow as new replies
arrive, so you can always see your messages in context.

- Labels, filters, and stars...oh my!
Gmail uses labels to help you organize with more flexibility. A
conversation can have several labels, so you're not forced to choose
one particular folder for messages. You can also create filters to
automatically manage incoming mail. Starring messages is another way
you can organize your inbox. Plus, it looks pretty.

- Get your mail on the go
The days of needing your computer to get to your inbox are long gone.
You can now use Gmail on your mobile device to access your email from
anywhere.
